Latin America or the Caribbean Students

LAC is a tuition waiver that reduces tuition to the same level as in-state tuition. It isn't a grant or a scholarship. Instead, it applies to any Latin American or Caribbean student who receives at least $500 in university state funds per semester. However, suppose you are a student with citizenship in an eligible Latin American or Caribbean country and qualify for an admissions scholarship. In that case, you may qualify for an out-of-state tuition waiver. Also, to continue to be eligible for the in-state LAC tuition waiver, you must be awarded the $500+ state funds each semester.

Freshman Scholarships in South Florida International Scholarships

Students will obtain the highest award for which they qualify within the awarding schedule under this type of award. These prizes cannot be combined. However, non-resident students will receive a waiver in exchange for their scholarship. As long as the non-resident fee amount does not exceed the non-resident fee level and does not cover any other resources, the USF non-resident waiver award will cover up to the total amount granted by The Office of Admissions. Moreover, students should consult their award announcement from The Office of Admissions to determine the maximum waiver they are qualified for each semester. So, the waiver does not cover tuition or other fees for residents.

Transfer Scholarships

These scholarships work on a competitive basis. Meeting the criteria for scholarship consideration does not guarantee that a student will win the grant. Students from qualified LAC countries, on the other hand, may benefit from the out-of-state tuition waiver if they win this award.
