William C. Parker 2023 Diversity Scholarship Program at University of Kentucky

The University of Kentucky is offering a 2023 scholarship that promotes its Strategic Vision of Diversity and Inclusion. The University aggressively seeks to admit and retain students from all segments of society including students of different races, ethnicities, socioeconomic status, sexes, sexual orientation, gender identities, disability status, religious traditions, political beliefs, and geographic backgrounds. The scholarship's main objective is to obtain the educational benefits of a diverse student body. Factors that are considered in the holistic evaluation of William C. Parker Scholarship applicants include contribution to diversity, test scores, grades, essays, leadership experience, extracurricular activities, awards and recognition, and community service.

Awards

The University of Kentucky will base the awards on the applicant’s ranking within the competitive pool, with values varying based on laudable criteria. Applicants may receive only one award through the William C. Parker Scholarship Program. 

Unfortunately, every excellent student who meets the requirements and applies will not be offered a William C. Parker scholarship. However, the University is assuring each applicant that his or her application will be fairly considered and treated in what is a very competitive process.

Application

Incoming freshmen applicants for William C. Parker 2023 Diversity Scholarship Program must have a minimum unweighted GPA of 2.50.  

To apply, incoming freshman students must apply for admission, complete the William C. Parker scholarship section of the admission application, and submit all supporting documents to the Office of Undergraduate Admission. A student’s scholarship application will not be reviewed until they have been admitted to the University of Kentucky.

Deadline

Priority Application Deadline: December 1, 2022
Application Deadline: February 15, 2023. However, early application is encouraged.
